Job summary

University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 100% Staff Nurse to join the Orthopedic Spinal team at the North Liberty Hospital.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-16:30 with an average of 2-3 late shifts per month. Salary: $60,589 minimum at 100% effort, commensurate with experience. Location: North Liberty Hospital. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, health/dental/life/disability insurance, and retirement plan contributions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and Iowa nursing license by hire date.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff.
• General computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' nursing care needs and evaluate care effectiveness.
• Coordinate continuum of care across settings.
• Develop patient care plans based on patient condition and age.
• Document interventions and patient/family responses.
• Support transfer and discharge planning throughout the episode of care.
