Job summary

Atrium Health's 7Main Georgia Center for Joint Care unit in Macon is seeking a registered nurse to join a 23-bed unit specializing in total joint procedures. The role offers a collaborative, supportive team and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications per protocol, maintaining accurate EHR documentation, and potentially floating to other units within the service area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) served.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care; engages patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation and communicates effectively with the team.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and provides age-appropriate care for the patient population.
