Job summary

UW Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in Orthopedics for a staff position at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. The role features 90% FTE with evening/night shifts and a rotating weekend/holiday schedule, working with a dynamic orthopedic team to deliver evidence-based care.

Preferred BSN, at least six months of nursing experience or participation in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program, active WI RN license, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion.
• RN license in WI or compact jurisdiction; CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct orthopedic patient care and coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
• Collect and assess data to inform therapeutic plans with patients and families.
• Support evidence-based care and use of available technology.
