Key Details – Orthopedic RN Travel Assignment

• Location: Reno, NV 89502
• Healthcare Setting: Medical Surgical Ortho-Spine Unit (38 private beds)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/3/2026)
• Holiday Requirement: Work 2 of the 3 major holidays during assignment
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800

Qualifications

• Active Nevada RN license (required prior to start)
• BLS certification (AHA) – required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures
• Care for patients with total joint replacements, ortho-spine surgeries, fractures, trauma, limb preservation, wound care, and medical overflow cases
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and involve families/caregivers in care planning
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality in a busy, trauma-accredited environment
• Adapt to schedule variations, including weekends and holidays
