Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking a Radiological Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under ARRT oversight, ensuring safe and effective use of ionizing radiation.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure (preferred), and BLS at hire. EPIC EHR and PACS experience are advantageous; travel to off-site locations may occur. RSF offers competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state).
• BLS Basic Life Support required at hire for RSF locations; preferred prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient’s clinical history and lab work; ensures documentation is available for licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate area of interest.
• Applies ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Operates imaging equipment and accessories for radiographic procedures.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures.
