Job summary

We are looking for a Radiologic Technologist who is passionate about health care and patient comfort for our location in Indianapolis, IN. As a Radiologic Technologist at Aptiva Health, you will be in charge of operating a Digital X-ray.

You will have the chance to work and interact directly with patients as you ensure that they are comfortable and calm. You will utilize your medical knowledge by interviewing patients, explaining the procedure and placing the patient in the appropriate spot on

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment for imaging and anything related on various areas of the body in order to provide high-quality images and information for patient diagnosis.
  • Address patient concerns during the procedures and explain the x-ray process to the patient in a way that is informative but also reassuring.
  • Use tact, courtesy and poise when dealing with patients, keeping them calm and ensuring that they get the best care possible.
  • Communicate effectively with other radiologists and health care professionals to ensure the message is getting across appropriately.
  • Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to ensure that equipment is operating properly to avoid downtime or delays that affect patient satisfaction.
  • Safely operate a C-arm imaging system to obtain high-quality fluoroscopic images in accordance with provider instructions, established protocols, and applicable safety standards.
  • Ensure patient safety with pre-screening for any contra-indications before the procedure.
  • Provide training to new technologists with regular checks, direction and qualified work samples performed by an experienced team member.
  • Handle high-stress environments in a calm manner when dealing with patients, technologist and physicians.

Job Summary

A qualified candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and familiar with the anatomical area that is being scanned and the patient’s history.
