Orthopedic Physician - Nassau County Corrections Center

Working at Nassau County Correctional Center, affiliated with NuHealth, you will be part of a strong, cohesive group of physicians, PAs, NPs, nurses, and ancillary staff. Health Services provides our Healthcare workers with great hands-on experience, managing the care of a diverse and often underserved population.

Health Services at the Nassau County Correctional Center (NCCC) is operated by Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC). Health Services operates 24/7, handling over 2,100 Health Care Provider (HCP) encounters each month and providing emergency, non-emergency, chronic, and specialty care to incarcerated individuals. Patient issues include, but are not limited to, fractures and casting, steroid joint injections, back pain, knee pain, acute and chronic injuries, and dislocations, resembling traditional outpatient orthopedic office practices. Additionally, we have 24-hour access to consulting services and orthopedic attendings at Nassau University Medical Center for inpatient and surgical concerns. Podiatric and Physical Therapy services are also available at the Correctional Facility.
