Job summary

Icon Health is seeking a Physician Assistant with orthopedic outpatient experience to join our telehealth and care navigation team in a hybrid role based in Florida.

You will perform initial telehealth visits, evaluate patients, order imaging, provide in-person referrals when needed, and collaborate with therapists and physicians to craft personalized treatment plans. Expect a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork and ongoing technology use.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant with board certification and license to practice in outpatient orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial orthopedic telehealth visits including diagnosis, imaging orders, and referrals for in-person care as appropriate.
• Administer in-office injections 2-3 days weekly.
• Build trust with patients through empathy and shared decision making.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and other Icon clinicians.
• Create personalized treatment plans and guide patients through their care journey.
• Contribute feedback on Icon's technology platform to improve the experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial orthopedic telehealth visits including but not limited to diagnosis, ordering imaging, and referring patients for in person care when appropriate.
• Perform in office injections 2-3 days per week
• Build trust with patients through empathy, knowledge, experience, and shared decision making
• Communicate and collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and other members of the Icon clinical team
• Create the patient’s personalized treatment plan and along with your dedicated care coordinator, determine next steps and navigate the patient through the journey
• Participate in Icon product enhancement through feedback on the current technology platform

• Preferred candidate is licensed in both Nevada and Texas, and if not both, can become licensed in both within a short amount of time.
• Minimum of 5 years as a PA practicing in outpatient orthopedics with experience in multiple subspecialties
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage patients in an empathetic manner
• Excellent clinician to clinician interpersonal skills to engage and coordinate with other providers
• Comfortable learning and utilizing several technology and telehealth platforms
• Hard-working and able to handle the pressure of a fast-paced environment

Compensation:

• Yearly Salary Commensurate with Experience
• Malpractice and Supervising MD will be provided
• State Licensing and NCCPA Fees are covered
• $500/year for CME
• Hours: Full Time (Hours are Monday-Friday or 8-4 or 9-5 in local time zone)

Hybrid - Remote telehealth with weekly on-site visits

• No nights, weekends, or on-call
• Benefit package including medical, dental and vision effective on Day 1
