Job summary

New England Orthopedic Surgeons in Springfield, Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a growing team of orthopedic providers. This role offers structured training and mentorship from skilled orthopedic surgeons while gaining exposure across subspecialties, with a pathway to subspecialty matching based on interest and clinical need.

Orthopedic experience is welcome but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply, and the practice supports long-term

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA-C certification (or actively pursuing certification).
• Eligible for Massachusetts licensure.
• DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (or eligibility).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic care in clinical and surgical settings.
• Perform patient evaluations, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments.
• First-assist in the operating room alongside orthopedic surgeons.
• Participate in pre- and post-operative care and patient education.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical care teams.
• Support hospital rounding and call coverage as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
