Job summary

Aoaortho in Wichita, KS is seeking a Mid-level Provider (PA-C or APRN) to deliver advanced clinical care under physician supervision. You will diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, perform procedures, and assist in orthopedic surgeries.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing from an accredited program.
• Licensure in the state of Kansas.
• Certification from NCCPA or AANP (or other certifying entity).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions with supervising physician.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic imaging, labs, and tests.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and medical equipment as appropriate.
• Perform in-office procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, wound care.
• Assist in surgical procedures as required.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans, including pre/post-operative care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
• Document encounters and care plans in the EMR.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient clinic flow.
• Complete disability, FMLA, workers' comp forms in a timely manner.
• Participate in quality improvement and comply with protocols.
