Job summary

Mammoth Hospital in Mammoth Lakes, CA is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join its orthopedic and sports medicine team. The role blends surgery and outpatient care, working closely with fellowship-trained surgeons and a seasoned sports medicine staff.

The three-day-per-week schedule includes one operating room day and two clinic days, with a shared first-assist call rotation and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• California PA license required.
• DEA license required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic care in outpatient and inpatient settings in collaboration with attending surgeons.
• Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, order/interpet diagnostic studies, and manage medications within PA scope.
• Coordinate discharge planning, follow-up care, education, and rehabilitation needs.
• Assist in orthopedic surgery, including exposure, dissection, wound closure, and immobilization devices.
• Collaborate with surgeons, athletic trainers, therapists, and sports medicine team.
