Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy is required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State is required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Administers direct patient care in accordance with the written prescription of the referring physician or other State authorized practitioner.
• Utilizes appropriate evaluation techniques with efficiency and thoroughness.
• Designs a treatment program to achieve established goals.
• Makes observations of patient tolerance and status during treatment and modifies the program as needed.
• Responds to department emergency procedures for patient safety and care when necessary.
• Submits required documentation per department policies.
• Participates in quality improvement chart reviews and activities.
• Attends family meetings/conferences with interdisciplinary staff on patient welfare and management.
• Performs related duties; all responsibilities are considered essential functions under the ADA.

Education

Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy

Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State
