Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Orthopedics team in a 100% ambulatory role. The provider will run an independent clinic while collaborating with PM&R physicians to support growth of the practice.

Schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional urgent care coverage; locations include Warrenville and surrounding clinics. Requires CN preparation and licensing per Illinois regulations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school or a master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Current Illinois RN license and current APRN license, or PA license in Illinois; national APRN certification; may apply for controlled substance license and DEA number.
• Privileged and credentialed through Northwestern Medicine MSO.
• CPR – BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct clinical care in an ambulatory clinic setting and collaborates with physicians.
• Prescribes/orders medications and therapies; orders and interprets labs and imaging as needed.
• Demonstrates professional image, participates in quality improvement and education for patients and staff.

Education

Master’s degree (nursing) or PA program

Illinois RN license; APRN license or PA license in Illinois; board certification

MSO privileging/credentialing

BLS CPR certification
