Job summary

HOPCo in Middleton, WI is seeking a Surgical Technician to support materials and supplies for the operating room in a full-time capacity. You will assist in obtaining and organizing instruments, supplies, and medications, ensuring proper aseptic technique and readiness for upcoming cases.

The role requires prior Surgical Technician experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred Orthopedics OR experience. BLS certification or completion within 90 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Prior experience as a Surgical Technician required.
• Orthopedics OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe patient care as directed by the RN and facility policy.
• Prepares for surgical cases by obtaining supplies and equipment and placing on case cart.
• Scrubs, gowns and gloves for procedures per hospital policy.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions.
• Passes instruments to surgeon during procedure and anticipates needs.
• Maintains sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
