Job summary

Ravine Way Surgery Center LLC in Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide perioperative care and supervise patient care in a single operating room. The role requires strict adherence to standards of practice and organizational policies.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, Illinois RN license, and BLS/ALS certification, with 2+ years in orthopedic surgery and ASC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Valid State of Illinois Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS and ALS certifications are required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in orthopedic surgery is required.
• Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs in order to provide quality care to assigned patients.
• Organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel to provide effective and efficient case management.
• Considers cost containment by using supplies economically and in effective turnover time.
• Prepares the operating room according to requirements of patient/procedure to be performed.
• Implements plan of care safely and effectively and provides safe environment, including patient positioning, padding, and safety checks.
• Ensure asepsis during all procedures and maintain sterile fields.
• Account for all sponges, needles, sharps, during and after procedures and document appropriately.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and assists anesthesia personnel.
• Attends safety training and follows center exposure control plans.
• Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
