Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic Unit. This full-time role offers a 36-hour work week with day shifts, 7:00am–7:30pm, and every other weekend requirement.

You will assess patients, coordinate care, educate families, and participate in quality improvement while staying current with nursing standards and Illinois licensure. A BSN or Associate's degree, IL RN license, and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients and colleagues in person, by phone and in writing.
• Educates patients and families based on assessed learning needs.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of nursing standards, laws and regulations.
