Job summary

Nebraska Orthopaedic Center, PC is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to work with an orthopedic sports injuries team, including shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, and ankle cases. Responsibilities include assisting in the operating room, reviewing imaging, and coordinating care with surgeons.

Requirements include Nebraska NP licensure in good standing; DEA license is preferred. Prior orthopedic knowledge is valued. The role supports clinic operations and can require travel for team coverage.

Qualifications

• Nebraska state NP license in good standing.
• DEA license is preferred.
• Two years experience is preferred, but not required.
• Orthopedic knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intraoperative procedures and patient positioning.
• Review imaging and ensure instruments, implants, and supplies are ready for surgery.
• Provide preoperative history and physical examinations under physician supervision.
• Order diagnostic tests and lab studies as directed.
• Participate in hospital rounds and discharge planning.
• Prescribe and dispense medications and orthopaedic devices per state regulations.
• Support operating room turnover and care for surgical instruments.
• Provide athletic and sports team coverage when needed.
