Qualifications

• Complete history and problem-focused examination for orthopedic conditions.
• Interpret X-rays and other diagnostic studies; order labs.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care in a multidisciplinary team.
• First assist orthopedic surgical cases and perioperative management.
• Thorough documentation of patient encounters in the medical record.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: perform histories and exams; establish working diagnoses; interpret imaging; develop treatment plans; provide perioperative care.
• First assist in orthopedic surgical cases to improve efficiency and continuity of care.
• Coordinate patient care with families and health care team; educate patients on diagnosis and follow-up.
• Prescribe medications, write orders, respond to acute changes; ensure proper documentation.
• Contribute to quality and education activities within the department.
