field of Orthopedic Surgery. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is committed to providing state-of-the-art treatment for foot and ankle conditions, sports injuries, and
trauma surgery. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Orthopedic Medical Scribe to support our orthopedic surgeons and enhance
patient care efficiency.
The Orthopedic Medical Scribe will be an integral member of our orthopedic
team, working closely with our surgeons to document patient encounters,
procedures, and consultations. The role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and
comprehensive medical records, facilitating efficient patient flow, and
enabling our physicians to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Accompany orthopedic surgeons during patient consultations and visits to accurately document the encounter in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Transcribe the details of physical examinations, diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and minor procedures.
Assist in documenting patient histories, including injury mechanisms, symptoms, and previous treatments.
Enter orders for laboratory tests, imaging studies, and medications under the direction of the attending physician.
Compile and organize post-operative notes, operative reports, and discharge summaries.
Facilitate communication between the orthopedic team, patients, and other healthcare professionals by ensuring timely and accurate documentation.

High school degree or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
