Job summary

TRIA Orthopedics seeks a Medical Receptionist to greet patients, collect copays, and schedule follow-up visits and referrals in our orthopedic care setting. You will support clerical tasks and maintain patient confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 6 months related experience, basic medical terminology knowledge, and strong communication skills to foster positive patient relations while upholding professional standards at all times.

Qualifications

• 6 months related experience
• Some medical background preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Human relations sensitivity and customer service skills
• Listening and telephone etiquette skills
• Medical terminology knowledge desirable
• Comfort in asking patients for copays and race collection
• Ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and patient confidentiality
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and structured environment
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Ability to key for long periods of time
• Accurate computer/keyboard skills required
• Must be proficient in operation of equipment: telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photocopier and fax machine
• Demonstrates knowledge of age‑related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
