Job summary

Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics LLC (CAO) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers, manage patient flow, and document medical information across clinics in MD, VA, and DC. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with procedures, and ensure accurate records while maintaining patient confidentiality.

This role may require local travel between CAO sites; strong computer skills, MED records proficiency, and excellent communication are essential for delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Experience with computers and electronic medical records.
• One year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and coding.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Proficient in Windows based office technologies (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Represent CAO with a patient-focused service orientation.
• Show patients to rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Record medical history, medications, allergies, vital signs, and test results.
• Record and organize patient information in medical records.
• Obtain proper consent forms prior to treatment.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Explain procedures and instructions to patients.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Authorize drug refills under provider direction and provide prescription information.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and stock supplies.
