Job summary

IRMC Physician Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Orthopedic Richland office. The role supports both clinical and clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and practice operations in Johnstown, PA.

You will assist physicians, record vitals, and help with procedures while maintaining EMR accuracy and high patient service standards. The ideal candidate has completion of an accredited MA program, CPR certification, and at least two years of relevant experience in a medical setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited medical assistant, nursing assistant, or practical nurse program.
• Two years of front and back office medical office experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms and procedures.
• Take vital signs and transcribe results into patient chart.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures and prepare rooms.
• Perform point-of-care testing and document results in EMR.
• Manage front desk tasks: scheduling, insurance verification, billing.
