Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tallahassee is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support our orthopedic providers in a fast-paced clinic. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with injections and procedures, and ensure patient readiness and accurate documentation in our Athena EMR and Medview imaging workflow.

You have a High School Diploma, Medical Assistant certification, and BLS certification (within 90 days).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification required.
• BLS Certification required; obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and coworkers.
• Prepare patient charts in Athena with all records available.
• Retrieve patient images from Medview for physician review.
• Ensure clinic zones are stocked with supplies and materials.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and complete intake documentation; assist with procedures.
