Sentara Orthopedic Trauma Specialists in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Medical Assistant to deliver patient care and support administrative tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program (preferred) and a HS diploma, with on-the-job training for BLS within 90 days. Certification options include CCMA, CMA, RMA or EMT, and at least one year of clinical/administrative experience is desired.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Certifications: CCMA, CMA, RMA or EMT as listed.

Responsabilités

• Performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks under supervision of a physician, NP/PA, RN or LPN.
• Supports patient flow and documentation according to training and competency evaluations.

Formation
