Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield Regional Medical Center seeks a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Orthopedic - Med Surg Unit. Under supervision of RN, you provide skilled nursing care and administer medications, contributing to patient-centered care.

This full-time night shift (7p-7:30a) includes every 3rd weekend and one summer/winter holiday. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary team, participate in care planning, and uphold HIPAA and safety policies while supporting diverse

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in state of employment (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (required).
• ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required for specialty areas.
• 1 year of clinical patient care experience preferred.
• EPIC EHR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the nursing process under supervision of a RN.
• Provides direct nursing care and assists with patient care.
• Administers medications and treatments within scope.
• Performs phlebotomy and data collection.
• Documents patient data and plan of care accurately.
• Maintains infection control and safety policies.
