Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) in Idaho is seeking an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join our multispecialty system in a growing community. You will manage hand patients, perform in-office procedures, and participate in surgical interventions and post-operative care.

The successful candidate will join a team of surgeons and APPs, cover a Level 2 Trauma Facility, and participate in a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree; board-eligible or board-certified in orthopedics.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited orthopedic residency program.
• Hand fellowship completed or in progress with emphasis on hand trauma.
• Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC and affiliated hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Manage the orthopedic hand patient, including exams, in-office procedures, and post-operative follow-up.
• Perform in-office procedures and multiple joint injections; casting/bracing.
• Pre-operative history and physicals and surgical intervention when indicated.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic data; prescribe medications; develop treatment plans.
• Participate in call responsibilities with Level 2 Trauma Facility Hand and General Orthopedics.
