Job summary

McFarland Clinic is seeking a fellowship-trained, Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join Ames, Iowa’s largest physician-owned multi-specialty group. You will provide hand and upper-extremity care with the support of a broad referral network and a direct path to clinic partnership and ASC ownership.

The role offers a high-volume workload with on-site ASC access, a collaborative team, and a competitive compensation structure designed to reward productivity.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME Orthopedic Surgery Residency and Hand Surgery Fellowship.
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible by ABOS; Iowa medical license eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical and non-surgical care for hand, wrist, and upper extremity pathologies.
• Access a newly built Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) equipped with orthopedic support staff.
• Maintain an equitable 1:10 on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with an integrated team including physical/occupational therapy and APPs.
• Join a high-volume, multi-specialty group with a track to partnership and ownership.
