Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a fellowship-trained, Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join our expanding Orthopedic Service in Northampton, Massachusetts. This role offers the opportunity to build a comprehensive hand and upper extremity practice within a nationally recognized academic health system, while enjoying the culture and autonomy of a community practice.

Responsibilities

  • Build a comprehensive hand/wrist practice in a collaborative setting.
  • Provide care in Northampton, Amherst, and surrounding areas with access to imaging and therapy services.
  • Share in a collegial call schedule and participate in program development.
  • Collaborate across Mass General Brigham Orthopedic Service for education and quality improvement.
  • Maintain patient relationships and autonomy typical of a community practice within a major health system.

Mass General Brigham is seeking a fellowship-trained, Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join our growing Orthopedic Service in Northampton, Massachusetts.

What You'll Do

  • Join a high-performing orthopedic service line with subspecialty expertise in Sports Medicine, Shoulder, Hand, Foot & Ankle, Adult Reconstruction, and Arthroscopic Joint Preservation, supported by an on-site non-surgical sports medicine physiatrist.
  • Practice alongside a collaborative team of five orthopedic surgeons, one physiatrist, and five Advanced Practice Providers in a newly expanded, state-of-the-art facility designed to support efficient, team-based care.
  • Build a comprehensive hand and upper extremity practice treating elective, traumatic, and degenerative conditions of the hand, wrist, and upper extremity.
  • Share in a collegial general orthopedic call schedule (currently 1:5) with a team committed to balanced coverage.
  • Provide care in Northampton, Amherst, and West Hatfield with access to advanced imaging, occupational and hand therapy, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and wellness services.

Salary Range: $500,000 to $600,000 annually

Additional Salary Info: The salary range for this position is $500,000 to $600,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, and internal equity.
