St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID, is seeking an experienced Ortho Hand Surgeon to join our Orthopedics team.

The hospital is a 145-bed, Level III trauma center offering a collaborative environment and a busy caseload. Qualifications: Board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery, completion of an accredited Hand Surgery Fellowship, Idaho license and DEA with full prescriptive authority; experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert hand and upper-extremity orthopedic care.
• Manage clinic and operating room schedules per week.
• Collaborate with the orthopedic team to optimize patient outcomes.

Job description

St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center is actively recruiting an experienced Ortho Hand Surgeon to add to our established team. As a 145-bed general acute care hospital, we are the largest full-service regional medical center between Boise, Idaho, and Spokane, Washington. With a Level III Trauma Center and more than 100 board‑certified physicians and providers in both primary care and specialty disciplines, we deliver advanced-level specialty healthcare to ensure every patient, and their loved ones have everything they need to feel comforted, every step of their journey.

About the position:

1. Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 8–5
2. General Schedule: 36 patient care hours and 4 hours admin
3. Call: 10 days with additional incentive for any extra days taken (General ortho call)
4. Average # of patients seen per day: 15–20
5. Department: Orthopedics
6. Clinic days per week: 2–3
7. OR/procedures per week: 2

Qualifications:

• BC in Orthopedic Surgery
• Completion of an accredited Hand Surgery Fellowship
• Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of ID and DEA with full prescriptive authority
• Experience strongly preferred
