Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the new Orthopedic Hand services at the Coughlin Orthopedics clinic on the Regional Medical Center campus. The role supports one Locums and one PRN Orthopedic Hand Surgeon, with a busy clinic focusing on hand-related conditions.

You will room patients, handle clinical documentation, assist with injections and wound care, casting, splinting, suture removal, and care coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification within 90 days from hire from Saint Alphonsus approved agencies (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, NPCE MA).
• New Graduates: MA certificate of completion OR externship/MA experience in lieu of externship hours.

Responsibilities

• You will room patients, provide clinical documentation support, procedure preparation, and patient education, and assist with coordination of care.
• Assist with procedures, drawing up injections, and wound care.
• Also assist with casting, splinting, suture removal, and applying dressings.
