Job summary

AMETEK Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Pierceton, IN to support engineering teams in the commercialization of medical devices across orthopedics.

The role offers three rotations: design & development, manufacturing engineering, and quality engineering, with emphasis on prototyping, testing and documentation. The position requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering, strong attention to detail, and proficient CAD/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.
• 3D CAD modeling experience preferred; MS Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualizes, designs and develops complex new products.
• Assist in design for manufacturability and development of process flows.
• Assist in ISO, FDA compliance documentation and design controls.
• Participate in rotations across design, manufacturing engineering and quality engineering.
