Job summary

SCA Health in Kentucky is hiring a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Coordinator to oversee daily operations for the DME program at an outpatient clinic, including inventory, fittings, patient education and billing, with strong focus on service excellence.

Requirements include a high school diploma; 1–3 years in a fast-paced outpatient setting; DME experience preferred and familiarity with medical terminology. USD $16.00–$25.25 per hour with benefits as described.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides onsite management of outpatient orthopedic clinic’s Durable Medical Equipment program.
• Manages the ordering, documentation, and data entry of durable medical equipment and related supplies.
• Establishes and monitors inventory of orthopedic DME.
• Conducts proper on-site patient fitting and patient education of all DME.
• Manages DME precertification and preauthorization requests.
• Tracks and organizes necessary paperwork to facilitate insurance billing of DME.
• Educates clinic staff members and providers on proper DME policies and procedures.
