Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking a Clinical Assistant to provide patient care and perform essential clinic duties at our Vadnais Heights location. The role includes preparing exam rooms, rooming patients, and assisting with documentation in the electronic health records system.

The position offers two full-time schedules with a sign-on potential and a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will work under provider direction, maintain clinic flow, and support multiple

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• CMA, AT-C, CNA or equivalent strongly preferred
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology required
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stock, and clean exam room
• Room patients and prepare for exam
• Maintain an efficient, organized clinical flow
• Gather and verify pertinent patient information; compile medical data
• Assist with documentation of patient data into EHR system
• Prepare for injections, change dressings, apply durable medical equipment, remove sutures/staples under supervision
• Apply and remove casts
• Ensure coding requirements are followed during data entry
• Act as prescribing delegate to enter medical orders under provider supervision
• Support multiple specialties and assist Care Coordinator with patient care services
• Assist with medical supply inventory and ordering
• Screen patient calls and document messages in the chart
• Other duties as assigned
