Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a registered nurse in Illinois to deliver comprehensive patient care within an interdisciplinary team. You will administer medications, perform assessments, and document care while coordinating with physicians and staff.

The role requires ADN with BSN preferred, current RN licensure, and CPR/BLS within 90 days; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by department. IL CE requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• Licensed RN in state of practice and CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to standards and state laws.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops and executes patient care plans per physician and policy.
• Provides education to patients and families.
• Identifies and resolves system-level issues to improve care.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and governance.
• Uses clinical guidance to support longitudinal patient care.
• Escalates safety and patient experience concerns appropriately.
• Engages in professional development and evidence-based practice.
