Job summary

Vancouver Clinic is seeking an Orthopedic Cast Technician in Salmon Creek 2, WA. Under supervision of an orthopedic physician, you will apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and traction; assist with dressing changes, obtain X-rays, and prepare exam rooms.

The role includes maintaining clinical supplies and teaching patients how to care for casts and braces, with training 8–5 during orientation and later four 10‑hour shifts, 7:00–5:30.

Qualifications

  • WA State Medical Assistant-Registered credential required within state timeline and must be active throughout employment.
  • Casting experience and two years orthopedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, strappings, and traction under physician direction.
  • Assist with dressing changes and suture removal, obtain X-rays, and prepare exam rooms.

Orthopedic Cast Technician

Vancouver Clinic is hiring an Orthopedic Cast Technician to join our Orthopedics team at Salmon Creek 2. Under the direction of an orthopedic physician, you’ll provide hands-on patient care by applying, adjusting, and removing casts, splints, strappings, and traction; assisting with dressing changes and suture removal; obtaining X-rays; preparing exam rooms; maintaining clinical supplies; and teaching patients how to safely care for and use casts, braces, crutches, and canes.

Location

Salmon Creek 2 (2529 NE 139th Street, Vancouver, WA 98686)

Schedule

Training will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. After training, the schedule will transition to four 10-hour shifts, 7:00am to 5:30pm

Hiring range

generally between $24.02/hour to $28.79/hour and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience.

Requirements
  • WA State Medical Assistant-Registered obtained within state timeline and must be maintained in active status throughout employment.
  • Casting experience and two years orthopedic experience preferred.
Pay Range

$23.55 - $32.97
