Job summary

Vancouver Clinic in Salmon Creek, Vancouver, WA, is recruiting an Orthopedic Cast Technician to support the Orthopedics team. Under the direction of an orthopedic physician, you will apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and braces, assist with dressing changes and suture removal, and help obtain X-rays.

You will also prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and teach patients how to care for casts, braces, crutches, and canes.

Qualifications

  • WA State Medical Assistant-Registered obtained within state required timeline and must be maintained in active status throughout employment.
  • Casting experience and two years ortho pedic experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required vaccinations and background screening as per policy.

Responsibilities

  • Apply, adjust, and remove casts and splints; assist with dressing changes and suture removal.
  • Obtain X-rays; prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies.
  • Teach patients how to safely care for casts, braces, crutches, and canes.

Job description

Vancouver Clinic is hiring an Orthopedic Cast Technician to join our Orthopedics team at Salmon Creek 2.

Under the direction of an orthopedic physician, you'll provide hands‑on patient care by applying, adjusting, and removing casts, splints, strappings, and traction; assisting with dressing changes and suture removal; obtaining X-rays; preparing exam rooms; maintaining clinical supplies; and teaching patients how to safely care for and use casts, braces, crutches, and canes.

Location

Salmon Creek 2 (2529 NE 139th Street, Vancouver, WA 98686)

Schedule

Training will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. After training, the schedule will transition to four 10‑hour shifts, 7:00am to 5:30pm.

Pay Range

Hiring range generally between $24.02 /hour to $28.79/hour and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience.

Pay Range: $23.55 - $32.97

Requirements
  • WA State Medical Assistant‑Registered obtained within state required timeline and must be maintained in active status throughout employment.
