Job description

The Cardiothoracic Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales goals within their assigned territory. They will establish and maintain customer relations through communication and in-person appointments. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience in cardiothoracic procedures or at least 2 years of cardiothoracic clinical case support. They must maintain expert knowledge of our innovative product portfolio, primarily driving CT and CT-based Biologics sales, and consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding our implants and instruments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory. Representing Eclipse Technology Solutions, an independent agency authorized to sell Arthrex products.
  2. Build and maintain strong business relationships and develop sales strategies.
  3. Communicate with current and new customers about product updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs.
  4. Implement sales and marketing strategies to meet or exceed objectives.
  5. Cross-sell products and manage new product introductions.
  6. Address problems at accounts.
  7. Support compliance and confidentiality, act ethically, and adhere to laws and company policies.
  8. Receive coaching and training; transfer knowledge to peers.
  9. Maintain training in sales skills and product features.
  10. Gather competitive data and stay current on industry trends.
  11. Participate in sales and professional meetings outside regular hours as required.
  12. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 3+ years of orthopedic experience; cardiothoracic experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
  • Comfortable in open operating room environments.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and OR protocols.
  • Ability to learn technical information related to surgery.
  • Prior sales experience is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to create effective business plans.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
