The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales goals and quotas within their territory. They establish, build, and maintain customer relations through communication and in-person appointments. The role requires expert knowledge of our product portfolio, consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding Arthrex products and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory by working with surgeons and healthcare professionals. Arthrex is a leader in medical device innovation and education in orthopedics.
  2. Build and maintain strong business relationships; develop and implement sales strategies to increase territory results.
  3. Communicate with current and new customers about product updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs.
  4. Implement sales and marketing plans to position the organization competitively and meet/exceed objectives.
  5. Manage new product introductions and cross-sell additional products.
  6. Address problems at customer accounts promptly.
  7. Support compliance by maintaining confidentiality, protecting organizational assets, acting ethically, reporting noncompliance, and adhering to laws and policies.
  8. Receive coaching and training; share knowledge with peers.
  9. Maintain training in sales skills, product features, and business applications.
  10. Collect industry and competitive data; stay current on trends.
  11. Attend sales and professional meetings outside regular hours as required.
  12. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

The above describes the general nature of the role; additional duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of orthopedic or related experience; sports experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market
  • Comfort in open operating room environments
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology related to Arthrex
  • Understanding of OR protocols and procedures
  • Ability to learn technical information, anatomy, and surgical indications
  • Prior sales experience is a plus

Knowledge and Skills:

  • MS Office proficiency
  • Ability to create effective business plans (30/60/90)
  • Commission-driven mindset
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills
  • Sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure
  • Self-confidence and competitive drive
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take responsibility
  • Compliance with all policies

Tools and Equipment:

  • Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
