Job summary

Guthrie Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its established Orthopedics team at Guthrie East Corning Orthopedics in Corning, New York, with scheduled clinical coverage at Big Flats Orthopedics in Horseheads.

This balanced clinic-and-operating-room role supports a high-volume total-joint practice, collaborating with surgeons, residents, APPs, LPNs and staff to provide comprehensive care across the continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current New York State NP or PA license, or eligibility to obtain one, with appropriate national board certification.
• At least one year of orthopedic or comparable surgical APP experience; direct total-joint and operating-room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for orthopedic patients across the continuum and develop treatment plans.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and review diagnostic testing.
• Participate in operating room and provide first-assist support when trained.
• Inpatient rounding and care coordination; collaborate with surgeons, residents and APPs.
