Job summary

Hillsdale Hospital's Ortho Clinic in Hillsdale, MI is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our orthopedic team. The role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and coordinating care for patients in a busy outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Michigan NP, FNP, or PA license, with a Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience preferred, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required, 3 years' experience preferred.
• Current Michigan Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (available through Hillsdale Hospital).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses and treatment plan
• Recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, and efficacy
• Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays
• Prescribe medication
• Educate patients about prevention and self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances
• Assist in surgery
• Monitor patients’ conditions and maintain accurate, detailed and confidential reports and records
• Create a comfortable, non-judgmental, compassionate environment for patients
