Job description

Duke Health Orthopaedics is seeking an academically oriented board certified/board eligible orthopaedic surgeon fellowship-trained intrauma to join the Duke faculty. Duke Orthopaedics offers a uniquely rewarding environment where excellent clinical care is provided in the context of learning, teaching, and investigation.

This new faculty member will be an integral member of the orthopaedic trauma team based primarily at Duke University Hospital, a busy Level I trauma center with 4100 trauma activations per year. In addition to covering a dedicated ortho trauma room, we seek a partner to develop an elective focus on complexlower extremity periarticular reconstruction.

Opportunity:

  • Champion medical student, resident, and fellow curriculum development in orthopaedic trauma, developing academic programs in orthopaedic trauma utilizing a rich academic infrastructure and collaborative environment
  • Opportunity to develop an elective focus on complexlower extremity periarticular reconstruction
  • Lead rigorous orthopaedic trauma clinical research on behalf of the trauma section, including prospective multicenter investigations
  • Faculty appointment with the Duke School of Medicine at the Assistant, Associate, a salary commensurate with experience, and robust Duke benefits offerings
