King Edward VII’s Hospital, part of the Bupa group, is seeking a Theatre Practitioner – Orthopaedics to join a private 56-bed facility in London. This permanent, on-site role offers 37.5 hours per week with shifts including Mondays to Saturdays and a starting salary from £44,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• RN registration for adults/children is required.
• Diploma or degree in health care studies is required.
• ODP Level 3 NVQ and ODA 752 are preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in positioning and preparation of patients for surgical procedures.
• Maintain asepsis, decontamination and infection control in the theatre.
• Support induction and orientation for new staff.
• Prepare patients for anaesthetics and surgery; provide assistance during procedures.
• Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of senior staff.
• Ensure equipment is checked and report faults.
• Contribute to theatre data collection and reporting.

2 years theatre scrub experience

Education
