UnityPoint Clinic, a physician-led, nonprofit organization, provides comprehensive primary, walk-in, and specialty care. Our teams focus on improving outcomes, reducing hospital readmissions, and lowering costs associated with chronic conditions, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Position Details

• Clinic located on an ambulatory campus with a Multi-specialty ASC and buy-in opportunities
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Call coverage with work/life balance
• Hospital: 184 beds, Level 3 trauma, with Hospitalist team
• Open ICU with intensivist rotations
• Support from specialists and subspecialists
• Excellent OR access, experienced staff, onsite PT/Rehab, full diagnostic labs, MRI, CT
• Supportive, collaborative team environment
• Fully integrated EPIC EMR system

Responsibilities

• Mix of outpatient, inpatient, and surgical duties
• Approximately 16 patients daily
• Shared call 1:3, 10 days/month
• Opportunity for full-time or 10-day monthly assignment
• Perform joint orthopedic surgeries and develop sub-specialty interests
• Clinical services include fracture management, total hips & knees, upper & lower extremities, trigger finger, carpal tunnel release
• In-office procedures: injections, casting, suture removal, joint fluid withdrawal
• Coordinate patient care through evaluation, interpretation, and decision-making
• Patient-focused, collaborative, with excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Unrestricted medical license in Iowa
• Current authority to prescribe medications
• Eligible to work in the U.S. (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
