Job summary

Berks Ortho seeks a General Orthopaedic Surgeon to join a well-established independent practice on the Reading Hospital campus in West Reading, PA. The role offers autonomy with hospital affiliation and access to an established patient base.

The position includes a broad general orthopaedic workload—fracture care, joint replacement, arthroscopy—along with primary hospital coverage and staff privileges at nearby centers.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• BC/BE in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training required; preference for specialty aligned with practice needs.
• Unrestricted PA medical license or ability to obtain one.
• New graduates or established physicians are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad general orthopaedic service including fracture care, joint replacement, arthroscopy, and other elective procedures.
• Primary hospital coverage at Reading Hospital with privileges at St. Joseph and local centers.
• Manage a reasonable call/holiday rotation with no trauma responsibility.
• Engage in teaching and mentorship through Drexel University College of Medicine at Reading Hospital.
• Opportunity to develop subspecialty clinical interests.
