Reading Hospital, part of Tower Health, seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Infectious Disease physician for a team-based position with ~80% inpatient and 20% outpatient care. The role includes teaching medical students and residents and collaborates with a dedicated support team.

The team offers opportunities for clinical research, Travel Medicine in the outpatient setting, and shared call with colleagues. A strong focus on education and patient care is emphasized.

Qualifications

• MD/DO, Board Certified in Infectious Disease.
• Valid PA medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Highly computer literate with EPIC experience preferred.
• Excels in communicating sensitive and/or adverse information.
• Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities.
• Analytical thinker and complex problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care as part of a collaborative team.
• Teach medical students and residents as part of clinical education.
• Participate in clinical research with support from the Clinical Trials Office.
• Share call duties with ten other providers.
• Travel Medicine services offered in the outpatient setting.

Job Summary

Reading Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join our growing, collegial team. The role is approximately 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient, offering a dynamic mix of clinical responsibilities. We’re looking for a collaborative physician who thrives in a team environment and enjoys teaching medical students and residents.

You’ll be supported by a dedicated team that includes:

• Two Registered Nurses (RNs)
• One Medical Assistant (MA)
• Two Patient Service Representatives (PSRs)
• One OPAT Pharmacist
• One 340B Pharmacist
