Job summary

UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is hiring a Full Time Physician Assistant to support a senior orthopedic surgeon in a busy hip and knee replacement practice.

The PA will manage an independent schedule, evaluate new and postoperative patients, perform in-office injections, and help with diagnostic tests and patient education. NYS licensure is required, with a NYS-credentialed PA program and strong communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program or NP program; NYS licensure upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document complete patient medical history.
• Review records to determine treatment course under supervising physician.
• Implement treatment plans approved by supervising physician.
• Order diagnostic tests when needed and explain procedures to patients.
• Prescribe medications following office protocol and share on-call duties.
