Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a BE/BC Hand Surgeon to join the Orthopaedics team at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. The ideal candidate will focus on hand and wrist surgery within a multidisciplinary group and participate in the academic mission with mentorship and potential research time.

Based at the academic medical center, the role involves outreach across New Hampshire and Vermont, and appointment levels (Professor/Associate/Assistant) will reflect experience.

Qualifications

• Hand surgery or upper extremity fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon required or eligible.
• Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand or eligible for it (CAQ Hand).
• Must obtain and maintain medical license in New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert hand and wrist orthopaedic care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Join an established academic medical center with opportunities for outreach.
• Contribute to the academic mission with potential protected research time.

Dartmouth Health’sDepartment of Orthopaedics is seeking aBE/BC Orthopaedic Hand Surgeonto join our practice in the beautiful Upper Valleyregion of New Hampshire and Vermont.Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the system’s central clinical hub and Academic Medical Center, is located immediately adjacent to the bustling college town of Hanover, NH. Hanover is home to the world-renowned Dartmouth College and Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine.

The preferred candidate will be responsible for providing expert care in Orthopaedics, with a particular emphasis on hand and wrist surgery. You will join an established, multidisciplinary team with ample opportunities for support and mentorship. This position is based primarily at our academic medical center, with opportunities for outreach and collaboration across our health system in New Hampshire and Vermont. You will be an active participant in the academic mission of the department, including opportunities for protected research time for interested candidates. Appointment via the Geisel School of Medicine may be Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience.

• Successful completion or eligibility to complete the Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand (formerly CAQ Hand)
