Job description

Job Summary:

The Treatment Coordinator serves as a key member in the patient experience and flow. This position is responsible for explaining and ensuring the patient understands their treatment needs, the importance of the treatment for their overall health, and the available financial options to facilitate necessary care.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires travel to the following offices (Mileage reimbursement is provided):

  • Twincourt Trail: 548 W Twincourt Trail, St. Augustine, FL 32095
  • Fleming Island: 1605 County Rd 220, Fleming Island, FL 32003
Responsibilities:
  1. Communicates recommended treatment plans to patients and promotes the qualities of your doctor.
  2. Listens to individual patient concerns and assists by applying judgment and practical solutions.
  3. Provides feedback to patients regarding tactics that influence financial and care outcomes.
  4. Works to obtain patient commitment to financial arrangements.
  5. Guides patients through office flow to facilitate follow-up appointments.
  6. Maintains compliance with Federal, State, and other regulations (OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, company policies & procedures).
  7. Performs other tasks as requested by the direct manager.
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience in a dental office environment.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology to clarify treatment options.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Sales, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Healthcare Practice Management systems.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret insurance plans and financial information.
  • Proven ability to develop productive working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong patient experience skills and positive communication track record.
  • Ability to explain treatment plans clearly and gain patient acceptance.
