Job summary

The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry seeks an experienced faculty member to lead the Division of Orthodontics, overseeing predoctoral and graduate curricula, mentoring faculty, and advancing education, research, service and patient care.

This role supports accreditation standards, coordinates clinical operations, and fosters scholarly activity, with service commitments to college and university committees and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Must hold a dental degree (DMD or DDS) from an CODA-accredited program and have completed a residency/graduate program in Orthodontics.
• Board certification is required; licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice dentistry in Kentucky is required.
• A successful track record in academic orthodontics is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the Division of Orthodontics, including management of curricula and program evaluation.
• Mentor junior faculty and foster leadership and succession planning within the division.
• Engage in scholarly activities resulting in publications and presentations; contribute to teaching and patient care quality.
