What you’ll do…

As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will have the opportunity of working side by side with a talented Orthodontist and assist them in procedures from initial impressions for Invisalign or traditional braces, fabrication of retainers, bracket and wire changes and so much more. You will be able to gain the skills and knowledge on all things dentistry by exposure to prep work, procedures and post-op care.

What you’ll bring to the team…

  • Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
  • Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
  • Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately

Before applying, it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below:

  • Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
  • Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
  • Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
  • New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
  • New York: Not applicable.
  • Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
  • Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.

  • Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail

  • Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus
